Corporate Fundraising

Invest in goodwill.

Corporate fundraising for the CSAH doesn’t just help support an important cause, it offers many benefits for your company and employees. Not only can it improve staff morale and motivation, fundraising efforts for such an important cause can enhance your company's image among staff, suppliers and the community.

According to Cone/Roper’s Cause Related Trends Report, 87% of employees report a strong sense of loyalty when employers have a cause program in which they believe and 90% of employees report a stronger sense of pride.

There are many ways that your company can raise funds for CSAH:

  • Sponsor a CSAH golf tournament or corporate run
  • Have a theme day, and match the donations employees make. For example, blue jeans or casual day, employees make a donation in order to dress casually for work
  • Brown bag lunch day. Employees bring their lunch in lieu of buying it and donate the amount of money that they would have spent on lunch that day to CSAH
  • Coffee break. Offer free coffee for several days with a “CSAH donation” jar in the cafeteria
  • Schedule a corporate matching week.
  • Host a week of daily activities (free coffee, casual day, extended lunch hour, free dessert, etc.) in honor of our Heroes. Throughout the week, collect employee donations that will be matched by the company.
  • Sell “Hero bands” at your store or office.
  • Hold a fundraising event on behalf of the CSAH.

Among the events organizations have held to raise awareness and funds for the CSAH:

  • Sellers Brothers, a Houston Supermarket Chain, raised almost $110,000 in its 2009 Saltwater Fishing event to benefit the Coalition.
  • The City of Norfolk hosted a benefit concert to assist severely wounded and disabled veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The concert, "Norfolk Salutes America's Heroes," was held on Veteran's Day, 2005 and all money raised was donated to the CSAH.
  • Stop & Shop Supermarket Company/Giant Food raised over $800,000 for the CSAH by gathering the generous contributions of supermarket customers and associates who purchased "Hero Bands" at locations throughout the Northeast.
